We are raising money for the SickKids' Foundation in memory of our sweet Brody!

To honor our sweet boy, Brody Thomas Pleasant (August 4, 2024 - September 11, 2024), we are embarking on a journey to memorialize Brody on the donor wall.  In doing this, it will raise funds in support of the SickKids Foundation, specifically for the PACT Team.​​

The PACT (Paediatric Advanced Care Team) Team provides specialized support for the children facing life-threatening illnesses while also supporting their families, however, their focus is not on the medical care component, but on QUALITY of life.

While the doctors and nurses of the NICU focused their efforts on Brody and helping him fight for his life, the PACT Team focused their efforts on the rest of our family. They supported us through the most heartbreaking time of our lives with limitless amounts of care, grace, and compassion.

They gave our older children and Brody matching teddy bears so that they could all be connected, even when they couldn’t be there with him. Bears that they still hold closely and treasure today.

They provided us with music therapy on several occasions, allowing us to sing to and share our favorite songs with Brody. They gave us access to an iPad to keep at his bedside, so that Brody had those songs playing for him anytime he was awake. Hannah, one of the amazing music therapists, learned a few songs at the request of our daughters, and wrote us a song about Brody that we will cherish forever.

We were even given access to a larger private room, so that we could invite family members to the NICU. This gave us the ability to spend time together with our sweet boy as a family. It was in this room that we were able to have Brody blessed before we had to let him go.

We are eternally grateful to the PACT Team for their unwavering support, for every experience and memory they inspired with Brody. Every donation received will help us ensure that they are able to continue delivering their unfaltering support to anyone in need.  

His life was far too short and may not have had a huge impact on this big world, but his little life spun our entire world on its axis, changing us forever. We are so deeply grateful for any support you can offer on our journey to keep Brody’s memory alive forever through the PACT Team and SickKids.
