I know better than most the hardships that come with being a child with severe medical conditions. Growing up, I spent 15 years in and out of Sick Kids Hospital, going through a battery of surgeries, procedures, tests and recoveries. At one point, I needed to spend 14 days in isolation, during which time I had minimal contact with my parents and staff. But luckily I had a Nintendo to keep me company. 

What should have been a terribly isolating experience turned into a great time. I loved playing Spider-Man and ordering my favourite lunch every day. The staff were so gracious and made sure I didn’t miss out on my childhood simply because I was stuck in the hospital. 

Because of this, I am fundraising for Sick Kids. I hope to be able to provide children just like me with more fun and more games as they soldier through some truly harrowing circumstances. With your help, Sick Kids can continue to change lives by saving lives. Let’s ensure every child and their parents are able to find a little bit of happiness amidst the lonely and frightening times.
