Our gorgeous baby girl has left our world but will always be present in our hearts. Nova Starr was born at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, on November 30, 2021, at 9:29pm, weighing 4lbs 0 oz, and measured 16 Inches in length. From birth, our beautiful little girl fought a heart condition and underwent some procedures; regrettably she was not able to overcome the challenges. Peacefully, in the arms of her mom and dad, Nova passed away on January 11, 2022, at Sickkids – The Hospital for Sick Children. She will be forever loved and cherished by her parents Miranda Irene Champagne and Samuel Alfonzo Kadeem Joel Hooper. This angel is the first granddaughter of Dave and Erin Champagne, and Darlene Hooper and Jason Atkinson. Cherished great granddaughter to Deb (Joel) and Dan (Cyndy). She was an adored niece who will be remembered by Salina (Kurtis), Nathan, Felicity, Tamika (Reda), Tatyanna, Ryan, Hailey, and Kylah. Nova will also be remembered by many great aunts and uncles. Although your time with us was short, we're so thankful for every second we got to spend with you. You've reminded us how important it is to love with everything we have and to be present in the moment, always. You burned so bright, Supernova, and touched so many lives. What a powerful, gorgeous star you were, and always will be.

Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held. Memorial donations may be given to the Paediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at SickKids Hospital to help support families who went through what we did at SickKids.
