WHAT'S YOUR FUNDRAISING IDEA?
“Last year, I did a sale for SickKids where I sold tomato plants. My first fundraiser this year was to sell different kinds of plants. We started growing them in February, and have sold out again, selling to family, friends, neighbours, my teachers, and even strangers! I’m currently planning my next fundraiser, because I want to donate $10,000 total by New Years Eve.”
WHY SICKKIDS?
“When I was a baby, I was born a little bit early, and there were some issues that came with that. Our doctor sent me to SickKids to get checked out. Thankfully, I was okay. I’ve always wanted to give back to the hospital because it helped me.”
WHAT'S YOUR ADVICE TO SOMEONE STARTING A FUNDRAISER?
“One tip that I would give is to not give your items a price, let people donate what they can! Everyone is happy to donate when I tell them where the money’s going!”
